This is a fabulous blog! My name is Stephanie Mines and I am the founder of the TARA Approach, a treatment design to prevent early trauma. I organized a conference on the Big Island of Hawaii in 20005 about the interface between environmental issues (endocrine disruptors, toxins, auto emissions) and healthy pregnancy and birthing (the consequences of industrialized birth). The conference was called PUNAHELE, which means “your special one” in Hawaiian. You can find out about it on my website.

I have also developed empowering self-care and treatment protools to support mothers and families through pregnancy and birth, and during the primal period (through the third year of life). I would love to share all this information with the readers of your blog and website.

I am the mother of two daughters and a new grandma! My first grand-daughter was born on November 24, 2006!

I believe in the power of families to honor and protect children and the children of the future. I also believe that the grass-roots, from the bottom up path of transformation is the way to change the world! I am very excited about this blog and hope to be a resource for you as well as learning from you. Thank you for what you are doing.

Six years ago doctors indicated I had terminal cancer, stage 4b. The type of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma I had was not treatable with conventional medicine, although it was offered but I chose not too. A journey of awareness in the natural field started and blossomed into becoming cancer free. Today, I am the author of a book “BALANCE” nature’s way to heal your body ISBN-13:978-1-895814-32-3 / ISBN-10: 1-895814-32-4. It is not yet available in the USA and I would suggest you call my publisher at 1-877-211-3334 to purchase. The book can be used as a preventative or knowledge on returning the body to BALANCE from illness or disease. 20% is my story and is intertwined to make it easier to understand. It is #1 in Atlantic Canada through Coles/Chapters/Indigo and #2 in Canada. Currently my husband and I operate a natural wellness facility in Amherst, N.S., Canada. My purpose is with this information on your blog is to get the message out the body has the ability to heal itself. To also relieve fear.

    Great site!

I have just written a GF/dairy free cookbook. I wrote it because when our family went gluten-free we were used to eating whole-foods. Unfortunately, as we quickly discovered, most of the recipes/mixes etc that we could find that were GF were all starch, sugar and fat. We were going GF to improve our health — so we didn’t want move our diet towards more highly processed/empty calories. My book, Get Off Gluten contains many unique recipes made from whole plant foods — rather then mostly processed starches. I have even come up with a whole grain sourdough bread that contains NO added oils, NO refined starches, NO sugar and NO eggs….best of all it tastes fabulous!! I invite you to try it.

The full recipe for my sourdough bread is on my website, at Getoffgluten.com.

    Best Wishes,

    JoAnn Farb
