Attn: Giveaway at the bottom of this post!
Okay I admit I don’t have a baby anymore but when an awesome gourmet, organic baby food store offered to give away some of their awesome baby food to one of my readers I had to see just how awesome it really was first. The store, the pictures, the descriptions… it all made me feel like I was about to order from a posh New York City baby eatery where Carrie Bradshaw might go if she had a baby.
And boy oh boy, did Yummy In My Tummy deliver! We got a large selection of baby food cups shipped overnight and they were not quite frozen, but certainly frosty when they reached us. Myself, my three year old, and my five year old got to be the taste testers from Stage 1 selections to stage 3. If it was good enough for me to eat and say “YUM!” than I know any baby would be delighted to eat it.
Have you ever tasted the baby food that you get at grocery stores? Yum is often the LAST word that comes to mind. This is why I made my own baby food because the alternative tasted disgusting, it had preservatives in it, and it wasn’t fresh and organic. Yummy In My Tummy baby food though tasted VERY fresh…like it was just made at home. And it is…kinda.
Yummy In My Tummy was founded by two parents who wanted better organic baby food for their new baby. The father, Michael Stanley, has fifteen years of restaurant experience and a degree in Culinary Art from the Culinary Institute of America. He began researching and testing recipes that his daughter would love. Soon Chef James Casterlin joined him and his wife and Yummy In My Tummy was born.

They have 3 menus… Simple and Smooth Stage 1 Menu, Textured and Tasty Stage 2 Menu, and Savory and Scrumptious Stage 3 Mini Meals. They were ALL divine! We tried many, many flavors but some that I was most impressed with were sweet potatoes, butternut squash, baked apples, apples & cranberries, apples, pears, & Raisins, beets & carrots, broccoli & pears, and candied yams. They are gourmet in taste and texture.
Yummy In My Tummy Baby Food is:
The food is then packaged in BPA-free, phthalate-free, BHT-free, and BHA-free barrier containers. If this place had been around when my babies were little I would have ordered for sure!

I would love to try this out. i have been making my sons baby food and he loves the homemade stuff. But, when we’ve had to go out of town it’s hard to transport and we had to buy the store stuff which he absolutely hated. So, I’d love to try some of this out.
I have actually not tasted the store bought baby food. Perhaps I should have. Now that I have another child after 7 years, if there is something I want to do differently, is to try different types of baby food. This look so yummy!
Would love to win some yummy!!! Thanks for the chance!
Looks Yummy in My TUMMY! My 8 month old will love this!
Yummy in my Tummy looks great! I make my son homemade organic purees but it would be awesome to have some frozen stuff that I could leave at the sitter’s house!
I just took a look at their menu/food items and they look yummy. I like that their is a toddler offering as well.
My 9 month old would just LOVE this, their menu’s look amazing, how great are they?!
I have always made my kid’s baby food from scratch, but I admit that there were times I would have loved to have some healthy pre-made options that I felt safe about. Thanks for the post about the great company. Even if I don’t win the contest, I now know of a new alternative for my next little one due this summer. Thanks!
I can’t believe how wonderful that looks! Thank you!
I hope I’m doing this right by commenting again to tell you that I posted this on Facebook.
Here I go again, I also Twittered it. Thank you!
This looks great – my 10 month old would love it. Thanks!
I just found this company’s site this weekend and thought their blends looked delicious. I was disappointed that I hadn’t found it before a recent trip to visit family that was close to their store. Hope to check it out next visit. I know my son would love it!
I would love to offer my little guy these foods:) i’ve been making some of my own and also giving him the earths best organic jarred foods. both options he likes alright but this stuff looks and sounds WAY better than what he’s been getting!! would love to win! thanks for the chance…
This brand looks and sounds awesome. In LA I had access at Whole Foods to a similar brand called Homemade Baby – fresh, organic and yummy. Now we’re in No. Cal. and I couldn’t find them anywhere. If we have baby #2 I will try this company and forward their info to my friend in TX!
mmm! and healthy! i’d love to have something so tasty (and safe!) for my daughter.
thanks for sharing, tiffany!
i wouldn’t buy it because it looks like it comes in plastic containers. i do not buy baby food or anything else in plastic if it is available in glass. sorry.i see many brands of organic babyfood in plastic and i will only buy in glass.
great find!
Thanks for this info! I make my baby’s food now and its definitely worth it for the good stuff thats in it. But I’d love to expand the horizons with some foods beyond pears and sweet potatoes!
My son has serious neurlogicial disorders and I’m just that much more determined to make sure he doesn’t get pestisides or chemicals that are bad for him. He’s already had a rough start to life and I want to help make his future more bright!
Thank you for this blog! Because of you I have found new natural pacifiers and toys as well!
Oh Yummy! Something good for my baby. I like some of the more unusual flavors. Bookmarked their site. Thanks
hi,
we’d love to try y.i.y.t.
mary and rishi and kyra
have been checking out the baby food that is available. this sounds great. would love to get to try the stage 1.
Oh wow… this looks delicious!! I wonder if I could get away with bringing it to work as a snack instead? I can’t wait to try this with my baby… just awesome!
Thanks for this review I am always looking for something to have on hand in case my supply gets low or I run into a time crunch to make more baby food. my son wasn’t much on the jarred stuff when I did this with him so I am looking for better alternatives with my baby girl.
I love the idea of Seasonal Specials! Thanks for the review!
Thanks for reviewing, I will look into this brand! I’m currently trying to make my own baby food but this looks MUCH better!
this is great!! I plan to make baby food for my son, but i have to bring packaged, unopened baby food to school, so this looks perfect! I am about to post a link on my blog and will tweet too.
The winner is #27… amom! Congrats!!!
Thanks so much to Tiffany and Yummy In My Tummy!! I can’t tell you how excited I am. And my little boy will be as well. He’s 5 mo and already grabbing for our food with a vengence! I can already tell after looking at their website and reading your review that I will be addicted to this stuff.
Thanks again!
Great to find another organic option. I have been using Yummy Spoonfuls with my little one and it is also very delish! Their choices are tasty and very different. I love the Adzuki Bean porridge, and the mango is silky and good. Check them out at http://www.yummyspoonfuls.com, I think they are on facebook and twitter too!
Just had my tonsils removed and am limited to what I can eat. I think this could work!
