Um, Ok. Raise your hand if you believe in God? My hands up, anyone else? I see a few. Ok people this is where I see that faith is really totally a big issue here. IF you TRUST and BELIEVE in God you should have enough faith to know that he will protect your son or daughter from any disease than to not have FAITH and worry if he or she will get something if they don’t get vaccinated. Realize this for those who do choose to vaccinate. I notice that those that do vaccinate and maybe I’m wrong, don’t really do reasearch on the vaccine or disease itself as those who choose not to vaccinate. It doesn’y hurt to do some homework and educate yourself a bit on them and maybe then you might actually reconsider vaccinating anymore. You can read on this site for days there is soooooooooooo much info in there its incredible. God Bless this woman for her knowledge and none ignorance I see alot in this blog. I respect those that vaccinate the same I just totally disagree that you would vaccinate just because you grew up on the routine that this U.S. of A makes everyone acustom too with that action and feel for your children unlike them that don’t feel for our children or even have faith in their own vaccines to make it impossible to get suit!!!! What kind of crap is that? That scares me more that the worry of even getting the disease itself. Them preventing you from suiting them should be a RED FLAG that somethings up and the government doesn’t want us to know so they hide documents we can read about of past historical cases going back to George Washington. yes Mr.1st President of the U.S. himself. I will pray that God protects your kids for whatever they have received so far in vaccines and pray you will educate yourselves a bit and stop poisoning your kids with diseases and deadly chemicals that cause autoimmunity as well as cancers and other junk that will totally change the quality of life for the near to far future of your children lke Parkinson’s, Alzeihmers, MS, etc. You can get detoxified naturally and cleansed totally from all that JUNK. I am a mother of 4 myself and finishing my schooling in Natural Health and Homeopathy and all its branches.I stand by what I have studied and refuse to have my kids used as lab rats for this governments research. I would like to second the idea of informed consent. As a naturopathic physician I tell my patients unbiasedly and very clearly the pros and cons of vaccinations. For liability reasons I cannot tell them exactly what to do but I always arm them with information about the specific diseases and potential side effects of vaccinations. I encourage parents to use this education to come up with their own vaccination schedule for their children if they choose to vaccinate. Across the board I will encourage parents to never vaccinate while their child is sick and to receive the vaccinations one at a time whenever possible.
Most importantly keeping our children’s immune system healthy and strong is their number one defense to all pathogens.
Here’s my recipe=
Low sugar, probiotics, fresh air, exercise, laughter and love!
This works well for my family.

I have chosen to vaccinate my children and that’s my choice. But I’m not calling everyone who doesn’t a PARASITE! You guys made a decision that is right for your family, just as I made one for mine. My children have had almost all of their vaccines and they are perfectly healthy, intelligent, social, they have wonderful expression of emotion, etc.

Don’t let the Amanda chick get under your skin! You know there are other non-vaccinating parents out there on your side who are just as POed about it! She definitely isn’t earning brownie points from the vaccinating parents either. What she said was uncalled for and “UNeducated”.

Tiffany, well done. I had a very unexpected gift (my son) @ 47 years young. He is now 4 years old and never been to a doctor nor had any illness and has been around most illnesses. At a mom’s group, the children who catch measles etc are always the vaccinated ones??? When I was growing up when a child had measles, there was a measles party and all the children were invited to catch them. Never heard of any children having any problems and we all survived. Also never heard of autism in those days. Now in our town we have special facilities built and everywhere I go with my son there seems to be a few austistic children.

So, if the handouts they give you at the doc state these side effects, then it seems they (somebody?) actually ARE admitting that there are risks and possible negative outcomes. However, without official documented studies and research on the ACTUAL cases of negative outcomes, things are unlikely to change, don’t you think? I don’t know how these things get done, but it seems someone might have the desire and capability to get this started.

As for Amanda Peet’s comments, as with all comments made by overpublicized celebrities, we should all be smart enough to take them with a grain of salt. It is, as most of these things are, one person’s opinion. Just a thought… if she had instead been on the anti-vaccination side with such strong comments, would she have been celebrated, even though she “isn’t even a celebrity” and the article was in a “magazine no one has ever heard of”?

Stacey, The handouts that come with the vaccines (that doctors rarely give to you unless asked) all list the numerous side effects that have been proven by safety tests to be an issue with each vaccines.. seizures is one common one and that happens to be what happened to my son. Vaccines ended up making him an epileptic.

To my knowledge there have been NO studies done to test the cummulitive effects of vaccines which is really outrageous since kids are getting 4-5 at one time.
