Awhile ago you posted about NJ’s additional mandated vaccines. I live there and did not know this. This horrified me. I immediately got in contact with the NJAICV ( NJ Alliance for Informed Choice in Vaccination) and wrote about it along with a new bill be sponsored on my website, Green Talk (with a link back to your blog.). Thank you for making me aware of the situation.

A bill is being sponsored in NJ to allow for conscientious belief exemption to vaccination. Please ask all your NJ readers to call their representatives and voice their opinions to support this bill.

There is a petition on the HSLDA (they will be representing the family in the appeal) site to support home schooling parents in CA. It can be signed by anyone, in any state.

I actually just read the article you’re talking about for homeschooling where they say that schools teach “good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare”. I don’t know about California, but I don’t remember being taught that stuff in my PA school. Here’s the link:

Thanks for the Friday wrap up Tiffany – I can’t believe the California gov’t re: homeschooling. Our experience with home schooling was a lifeline for my daughter – got her right back on track. Happy to say we just got a College acceptance letter day!!!!
