The main problem with the reviews that I see is the lack of information for cleaning the cups. Even if a cup seems to work great & your child loves it, you still have to be able to maintain the cup by properly cleaning it & a lot of cups are built so that its impossible to clean certain tiny parts.

I got my daughter a Nuby when she was 9 months old. That soft spout was intact for less than an hour. I wouldn't recommend it for babies who are trying out their new teeth. It was cheap, but also became unusable pretty quickly.

Hi! Thanks for this....we've been using the other "bad" Nuby sippy cups, and now I feel awful. Looking for some kind of safe sippy cup, preferably with a handle and straws. My 16 month old definitely prefers both features, but it seems it's hard to find in a non-BPA cup? thanks!

I just wanted to thank you for this very informative review of BPA free cups! I had Wilms Tumor as an infant (cancer of the kidney, lost my left kidney) and I'm extremely cautious about my daughter's health. Needless to say though, I had her on Dr. Brown's bottles when I expressed breast milk and now I'm finding out that they are the worst ones when it comes to BPA! I feel horrible and now feel like I have really damaged her health by doing so, especially with raising her cancer risk :(.It really infuriates me that companies can knowingly do this, and that her pediatrician is the one who recommended I use "Dr. Brown's" in the first place (I doubt she knew about the BPA issue though)! She is 10 months old now and is starting the cup, so I have ordered the cups you mentioned. So, thanks for putting me at ease with these BPA free products! :)

My 6-year old loves the Funtainer for her lunchbox and I also give it an A.

We use the Nuby BPA free cups - they all work well for us and you can't beat the prices. If you want to see an excellent description of which Nuby cups are BPA free and which are not (including pictures so you can print it off and take it to the store), go to thesoftlanding.com - they have a link within the cups section to see the BPA-free Nuby cup discussion.
