Aw! What an expedition! The simplicity of the Amish enchants me-that is so lovely you and your family were able to visit! I did not know there were different sects, but it makes perfect sense as other religions do as well. Would love to do this with my daughter one day!

We actually just visited Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, so we had many similar experiences this past July. My mom’s family is from that area so we get to visit every time we go up for a family reunion. Sounds like you guys had a blast.
