Just take the diaper and throw it in a dry pail. I did no rinsing or soaking whatsoever and found the early months to be a cakewalk. Definitely. While I'm concerned with the environment and will pinch a penny 'til it screams for mercy, my biggest motivation is doing everything as natural and chemical-free as I can get it.
