Are iPods Eco Friendly Gadgets?

Well, I really hate to add to the rampant consumerism of our society but I simply love my ipod which I use for music, podcasts, business audios, and videos for my children to watch when we are out. I also love my Bose iPod SoundDock.

Sometimes I feel guilty about needing these high tech gadgets but I really think they are slightly “green”. Why? Well, as a big music lover I have always downloaded music from the Internet and I always burned the music onto dozens of CDs. Often times I would have to burn them more than once when my kids inevitably got a hold of some of them and scratched them up. So I created quite a bit of landfill garbage with my music habits. Now I transfer the music to my iPod, along with many other things, and I am able to take it everywhere I go. Simple and easy. I also use my iPod to download aerobic workouts and to add my own soundtracks to my exercise routines and daily hikes. And the iPod can be worn in a nifty little arm band. So it helps me stay healthy too.

Well there is my rationale. Am I reaching? LOL.
