Just a Funny Moment

Well, yesterday wasn’t such a good day since  I had to visit the Chemo room and get the bad news that my platelet count is very low again and the icky blood transfusion subject came up again. Well, they decided to put me on some medication to see if that helps. But of course there is nothing funny about that.

But when I walked into the office yesterday and sat down, I looked around the room and saw that I was getting some strange looks from the other patients and guests in the packed waiting room. Some looked shocked, some looked horrified, and some looked disgusted. Well, what the heck did I do?!

I looked down at my jacket and saw the problem. I was wearing my favorite Billabong hoodie with a huge embroidered skull on the front. It looks something like the picture below but the skull is on the front and the embroidery is very ornate and gorgeous. The hoodie is almost like a piece of art and as a surfing enthusiast I absolutely love Billabong clothing.

Well, anyway I guess that the huge skull on my jacket did not sit well with the other cancer patients and guests in the room…who were all quite a bit older than me. Well, I thought it was kind of funny but I unzipped the hoodie just the same…since you can’t really tell what it is until you zip the two sides together.
