I was reminded just today about why it is so important to clean your home with natural products.
My mom decided to clean house for me since I have been sick. Well, she used some chemicals in the toilet and left them there to sit for awhile. My 6 year old did not know there were chemicals at work in the toilet and he sat down to use it. Well, within minutes I heard throwing up, coughing, and gagging. I ran in to see what was up and the noxious smell of the chemicals was overpowering. I quickly ran with my son to the other bathroom were he proceeded to vomit and cough hard for many minutes. His lips also started turning blue and he was having trouble breathing. I called 911 in a panic and they talked to me about his symptoms which, thankfully started to subside after about 10 minutes.
Talk about panic! I cannot believe how swiftly and violently he reacted to those chemicals! My belief in natural cleaning methods is definitely reaffirmed!

That is really amazing….the quick response….children are so much more vunerable than adults. There is a very good article in the October issue of National Geographic “The Chemicals Within Us” an piece on body burden….

I really like your site. A few years ago I got rid of all the chemical cleaning products in my home. I clean with all natural products now and could never go back to the ones that used to make me gag. I really believe people need more information on what they are using in their homes.
