I am still trying to weed out all of the non-natural toiletries we have always used in my family. This week we made the move from conventional toothbrushes and combs to a more natural alternative. So instead of the Oral B toothbrushes we used to use we have wooden handled brushes with natural bristles. These brushes do a marvelous job of making my teeth look and feel sparkly clean. They seem to be much more efficient then my old brushes.

I am also a big fan of combs (not so much of brushes) so I threw out my plastic combs and replaced them with Chinese wooden combs. I have long thick hair but the combs work great AND they eliminate static cling! They are also a work of art….absolutely beautiful.

These are just a few small steps that we have taken to eliminate the plastic in our lives. Now I am thinking I should get some plastic chopsticks or perhaps this anti-gravity hair piece, so that I can get rid of my plastic alligator clips.
